India’s newest airline, FLY91, takes to the skies with its inaugural flight between Manohar International Airport, Goa, and Agatti Islands, Lakshadweep. On March 18, the airline will launch its maiden commercial service between Goa and Bengaluru. Additionally, it will run a flight between Bengaluru and Sindhudurg on the same day. FLY91 has planned to start the Lakshadweep route in mid-April.
Plus, the airline will cover destinations like Pune, Nanded, Jalgaon and Sindhudurg in a phased manner as part of its plan to enhance connectivity to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in India.
According to ICRA, India’s domestic air passenger traffic may grow 8-13% in FY2024 to 150–155 million passengers, surpassing the pre-COVID levels of 141.2 million seen in FY2020.
